We hope some of you got to enjoy the outdoors this past thursday and friday. Temps in the high 60's with sun. A couple of great days they were....but the party is over, as most of you saw when you woke up this morning.
Fishing was very good on friday. The bigger fish took the opportunity to eat while they could before the snow storm hit and drove everything down deep.
The productive places were incoming water sources, warmer shorelines, and rock points. The baits we used varied a bit. Rattle Trap type baits, Slider head jigs with either 4" Senkos or Reaction Innovation Beaver Tails, Salmo Bullhead, Small Reef Runners that gid into the bottom. Basically I think they would have hit almost anything on friday. These fish knew there was a big shut-down coming!
We're going to take a few days off until the weather breaks and the sun comes back. It makes no sense to chase fish that are long gone...and freeze while doing it.
Check in again soon. We have more pictures from friday to upload.
