We get alot of questions from people regarding what we at Customfish.com use for our own photography. Mike is a professional photographer and an avertising specialist and I have been in printing for the past 22 years. So we have seen alot and used alot. Mike has the best of the best , using Canon SLR's and other 4-figure costing cameras that really aren't suited for the regular guy taking fish pictures. BUT..we DId find one outstanding camera that we use on a daily basis for about $200!
The Canon Powershot A-95 digital camera.
For the money we haven't found anything else on the market that takes better shots.

January. Ice. Snow. Sub zero temps. Cars that wont start. Frostbite on exposed skin in less than a minute.
I'm sure that's happening somewhere but NOT HERE BABY!! This is the winter that wasn't. We have had temps in the 40's and now 50's for what seems like forever. It's time to start slingin' baits!!
Today Ken, Mike, Tom and myself did some january bass fishing in northern Illinois. Within the first half an hour of throwing 3" & 4" Senkos we all had fish! I got smallest of the day but in January I'll take it from open water! Ken got 3 with the largest being 18.5". Mike got a 16" and Tom scored BIG with his personal bass fishing best, a 19.5" beauty! Congrats Tom! The rest of the year will be spent trying to beat that 19.5"er. Good luck. She's out there.
We also had a couple of bite offs in the hour we spent out there. probably a couple pike milling around.
Here's some pictures of a couple of the first bass of the year. I think 2006 is going to be a great trophy year here at Customfish.
