.

Myself, my oldest brother, his best friend Mark and Mark's brother Drew have been going on fishing trips for 23 years. We fished Tomahawk, WI , Eagle River and Lake Of The Woods together. We had alot of laughs. Drank alot of beer. Went to Weasel's. Went to casinos. Ate walleye dinners at our favorite supper clubs..
All the things the we fishermen do.
Drew Wagner passed away yesterday after being taken off life support.

He was a fisherman. Like us. On the same waters.
I just wanted to say goodbye to Drew in the company of you guys...guys who I know understand what it means to lose someone you shared a fishing boat with for those week long vacations for 23 years.
God bless you Drew. You'll be missed on the dock.

He's back!!!

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away
a weapon was forged with such awesome power that it was sent adrift amongst the stars for all eternity.
( * cue Darth Vaders theme music*)
Dom Dom Dom Da-da-dom da-da-dom

This weapon was not to be held by human hands. It was not to be weilded by any one being.
It is the power.
It is the might.
It is the master of disaster.
The king of sting.
The punch with crunch.
It is Froddo's ring.
It's Marciano's left hook and Foreman's jab all rolled in one.
It's the M-16..the B-52..The M-1..

If the Death Star was anything other than a massive killer orb, it would have been THIS..

Ladies and Gentlemen..
Take cover.
Hide the children.
Burn the crops before the army arrives.
It's coming.

Bow your heads ladies and gentlemen. And for the love of all that's holy...DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE LIGHT.

. * UNLEASH THE HOUND!*

.

.
.
.He's home.
.
Yes, Wilson, my friend, you are home.

And the fun keeps on goin'!
Warm water coming in from just about anywhere is the key.
The set-up I used tonight was a Mr. Twister Exude 4" straight worm on a 1/16oz Slider head Jig. A couple small twitches and slow retrieves seem to be working very well.
Ken, Tom and I all connected with some huge fish this evening just before sundown. Tom got another huge laremouth ( about 19"), Ken got a 19.5" smallie and I got 2 16" smallies and my biggest crappie to date..an 18" beauty!
Get out and fish, folks!! The time for BIG fish is fast approaching!

2/1/06 report from the field

Customfish field reporter Ken S. spent a few pre-work minutes on the water today and caught thie 19" smallie on a Senko.
Do you see a pattern developing?
I suspect Senko sales are about to go up.
Nice way to start the day Ken! Heck...nice way to start February! Temps outside are almost 50 now and should hold for a few days. Find time to go throw some plastics. Slow and low near the bottom is working. These fish think it's late March/ early April. Go with your best early spring tactics and it should pay off with a big fish or two.
